The Dark Side - Introduction
by: former Jedi Stoovie
This discussion reminded me of an interesting dialogue from "Knights of the Old Republic: The Sith Lords". I'm well aware that one shouldn't turn to video games for wisdom; however, I found these lines quite interesting and relevante:
"I was once a (Jedi) Historian... One quickly learns that the Jedi Code does not give all the answers. If you are to truely understand, than you will need the contrast, not adherance to a single idea."
Are you a Jedi or a Sith?
"Does it matter. Of course it does. Such titles allow you to break the galaxy into light and dark... catagorize it. Perhaps I am neither; and I hold both as what they are, pieces to a whole."
There are many, many passages like these that I initially paid little attention to and now consider deeply. If and when I find more, I might toss them up for discussion. These pieces of dialogue aren't too profound, but many others in the series are, and will make for some interesting discussion. Why are the Sith here? Because conflict, especially of one's convictions, builds strength. While isolation, and hence stagnation, erodes and weakens us. -- Jedi Stoovie (now Lord Ziel one of our moderators)
