I've long thought that really this isn't the Jedi Religion - it's a Sci-Fi religion because Sci-Fi on one form or another has always been there for me. I think my moral compass was formed entirely out of episodes of Star Trek, Star Wars and a whole lot of books....this made me proud! Check out this article...

That kind of counter is the most effective. Fred is a lawyer who makes big money by provoking situations he then can turn around and sue for.

Hmmm, what exactly was all that about. I checked out the article but I don't get what the big deal was???? Why were people protesting and counter-protesting? Because of a Comic-Con event???? That's pretty weak.

It's the extremes of both sides that make us all look dumb.

These same creeps tried to protest a funeral in my old hometown of Harrison Arkansas in a story so unbelievable I just still don't quite get it...

http://www.4029tv.com/news/24250225/detail.html

In a last ditch attempt to get them NOT to show up to this kids funeral the town passed an ordinance that said, "no protesting at funerals." The thing is - being from Harrison, they are truly the nicest most sincere and honest people in the world and...they don't put up with shit. If the Westboro people had shown up they probably would have had a true fight on their hands backed up by the cops. Disrespecting the dead is about the worst action you can take in the south.

For instance - if you go to a cemetery in Harrison you'll find elaborate memorials, flowers everywhere, wind chimes, sculpture, dolls, you name it - and picnic tables because the old custom was to go out on certain days and eat with the dead.

My friends on Facebook were ready to bring their guns along to the funeral if need be.

*applauds* :-P

I have a friend who is gay but his Mom is a hard line southern Christian Minister / Missionary and one of her callings is to convert those evil homosexuals...and they live together - actually he pays all the bills and has supported her for quite some time. Those pesky evil doers.

The Westboro Baptist church are a delightful group of haters. If the freedom guard is not available then the Jedi are needed to keep them in check.

I've always found it odd.... how un-christ-like Christians are...

If there is a heaven, I'm going to laugh as I watch from inside the pearly gates as St. Peter looks at these morons and says "Not a chance you hateful little prick..."

I haven't been a believer for a long time but when I was, I knew that the only one who could pass judgement on anyone was the so called God. It wasn't for me to pass any kind of comment or judgement on anyone who lived their lives as they wanted.

If we had a little less hate fopr people and a little more love then we'd get along just nicely.

Not doute the GOD SQUAD couldn't get into heaven anyway. Maybe someone should tell them that.
