I love artsy expressive cool shoes and like the look of TOMS -- a really cool concept of this company is that they give a pair of shoes away for free to a third world child with each shoe purchase.

I feel getting behind a charity that does something very specific and am wary of groups that "we're helping people" -- uh' hu - how exactly? Well there are administrative costs yadda yadda...you know the drill of being hustled. Since I purchase shoes for my family anyway and LIKE stylish shoes supporting a company like TOMS that has given away 400,000 pairs of shoes to children feels like a smart expenditure of cash - - lets just hope the shoes aren't being made by said children in some sort of sweat shop! Yikes.

Shoes need to be designed to have a good shoe without the rubber sole which is harmful as it cuts a person off from the negative ion flow from the earth. And causes them free radical damage it is the same with electo magentic pollution from harmful EMF fields.

Very interesting. I never thought about that, but it makes perfect sense.

I recommend people go barefoot as often as possible because it builds up the natural muscles in the foot and will help prevent injury (I run, so strong feet = good) - however, in places like public parks people should be aware that dog and cat feces carry worm eggs that go straight through the skin and start one part of their life cycle inside of your body. Ugh.

Nothing irritates me more then seeing a playground full of little children and some stupid ingrate letting their $700 pooch crap on it. If I put their dog in my toilet to play they probably would have a problem (especially if I kept making it flush...). Its a fond fantasy of mine to sit in a tree and sniper shoot small dogs though - so I think I have a bit of a bias against them (and monkeys - really I can't stand them). I see them as animals and not 'people too' and I don't talk to them or *shiver -- kiss them on the mouth. UGH!!! Gross, have kids if you need to do that kind of thing...oooh' I'm way off topic...Hu - I don't lick or kiss my kids on the mouth like people do their dogs either, it's just disgusting. Don't do it. /rant *loads sniper riffle to go hunt poodles....

I'm always looking for a lighter and narrow running shoe. Nothing worse on my feet then big heavy soled Nike's.

a dog should be a dog, not a rat and shoes should suit they're purpose (running hiking whatever) and support your body correctly to prevent back pains etc
