http://www.dailyspark.com/blog.asp?post ... d_mobility

This is a good article. I have several relatives who have let themselves become trapped by their own bodies and don't think there is anything they can do. Part of this is the media and external sources says fit exercise is four hours a day of INTENSE physical stress which is a good recipe to seriously injure yourself.

Working out by a brisk walk - EVEN FIDGETING for 30 minutes a day is enough to keep most people healthy when combined with diet.

I like to hit the gym but I try to be mindful of my limitations and not over do it. The important thing is to have FUN.

Usually if you're large enough to be immobile you're in a lot of pain already, it's hell on your joints and body. I was rather round at 9 months pregnant once - that's as close to it as I want to get. It completely SUCKED.

Well, here in the states you can't call people fatties, it's considered discriminatory and something of a hate crime. I was watching this UK show about 'fattest families' and was really surprised they called the people fatties, jiggly bummed etc. I guess maybe because so many Americans are outright obese it's just not polite to point it out anymore.

I took a fitness test today and did remarkably well - fitness and weight don't always coincide (the person doing the test expected me to be terribly out of shape and was pretty shocked by how strong and fit I was...). My problem is I'm so used to running, lifting weights and the like that I can do it a LOT and not drop in weight. My metabolism is adjusted to it. I'm trying a new routine to shift a few pounds and get my metabolism headed into a different bracket. I look like a typical house wife I guess, except I can run four miles. ;-P
