My name is Joshua and I am from Kansas.

I've been interested in the Jedi Way as a philosophy or a religion for some time now. I majored in Social Sciences in college and I've always been interested in how religion/spirituality shape the way people treat each other. I'm chiefly interested in how religion could be tailored to help society than to be a detriment as I see it now.

Recently I've been studying the ways that mass media affects people's moral attitudes. ie. do people learn any moral lessons by watching Star Wars. I've seen some fascinating things that I didn't really expect. I've always been a gamer and one of the things that blew my mind was how much philosophy was involved in the Knights of the Old Republic games. Basically what I'm getting at is that I've found the lessons that people could take from Star Wars seem highly positive and I want to learn more!

KOTOR was voted favorite Star Wars game on here awhile back. I think overwhelmingly everyone here likes it. We have definitely a warrior vibe going on these days to the ol' forum ;-P

I've lived on the border of Kansas several times in my life just never quite actually over the state line. I'm really familiar with most of it though and that areas culture (for better and worse) ;-P I live up in Oregon at the moment far away from hay, wheat harvesting and my hideous allergies. Lol - except I'm allergic to wood smoke and people here burn stuff all the frickin' time. (Which is silly because with the low pressure the smoke doesn't go up it just curls around the ground and makes it hard to breath.)
