Amazing...

Any time I start to doubt the seriousness of some here I read the words of Jedi Kidohdin and they restore my conviction that this IS a place where people really want to better themselves through the Jedi Way.

Thank you to Jedi Kidohdin and Jedi Seven for breathing life into this place!

MTFBWY always.

If Jediism put as much energy into actual study and transforming themselves by the science of the Force. As they did into always debating and deciding which moral yoke looks the sweetist to weight themselves down with......they all would be able to walk on water by now.

The fact you would even have to create a external code to chain everone under shows your going in the wrong direction.

A healthy debate, is just that- healthy. It creates a wider understanding of the topic and in shared wisdom, we gain more knowledge.

Do not confuse this with angry, pointless squabbles which is nothing more than a clash of egos which through fear of inferiorority is a path to the dark side.

Plus at the same time, also remember that this is not a place of forced dogma, but a place of learning and we all learn, change and grow from interaction with each other - here in this sanctuary and with in our everyday lives. Each moment changes us and who we are. Our personal identity is nothing more than a combination of our lives experiences.

May the Force be with us all

Greetings my brothers and sisters. Jedi Kidohdin was without a doubt, mindful of the ways of the force; I express my deepest gratitude on His teachings. In my own little way when I was simply alone on my thoughts with nobody to guide me but the storyline of the movie itself, I simply contemplate on every teachings that I hear. I meditate on them, mindful of them, and allow the teachings to manifest in me.

Through that method I feel that slowly but surely, I gradually grow in the Force. Therefore in my opinion a master is truly important, but without your faith in the Force any teachings would simply fell on deaf ears. A master can only assist a curious student, but the student must first be reconciled to itself if any teaching is to be effective.

Learn the ways of the Force both ways youngling; ask when assistance is in need, however learn also to attuned yourself to the Force, feel its presence. The Force can be detected both emotionally and scientifically; it is an energy field which science had already proven that truly exist, the only thing left is for you to feel its presence around and inside you. MTFBWY Always.

We're all not as enlightened as you, so forgive us. Many of us desire the structure and "moral weight" as you describe it. In fact, some people crave the direction a code gives them, so I fail to see how it is that you can decry the fallacy in what he or she may find most needed in their life at the time.

Also, I will be naturally looking for flaws in these teachings. I disregard any teachings that are not distributed in a non formatted way and I do not believe a forum should be dedicated to any one user. It is superfluous and it merely elevates others over the regular membership.

People are people, wherever you may go.

In that there are both virtues and shortcomings.

I feel that Chaos is the natural order, for something to live, something must die. It's the way of nature. Two things cannot live in the same space, something must dominate. Although this can be considered teachings of a Sith, I believe that the 'dark side' is just how we see it. Some say using your anger is bad, I find that people who use their anger in combat or whatever know how to regulate it. I firmly believe in the middle path, that some Force users in the Star Wars Universe firmly believe that the 'dark side' was a necessary evil. Good cannot exist without the evil. I believe in Chaos which is the natural order of the Force so much so that I have the Chaos Star tattooed on my chest. Because it is apart of what I believe.

Wow, that was allot to read. I'll probably have to come back and re-read this once the info has settled into my mind.

I am new to these beleifs but feel they are right for me and have made a decision within myself to follow them. As said the techings and beleifs are excellent. My question is do people really beleif they can "move objects with thier mind" well i beleive in premonitions (i beleive that i can see glimpses of the future in dreams) but think that people can actually move things with thier mind a bit far fetched. Am i the only person who feels this way ?

Replys would be very helpful

I think it's far fetched, but I've never seen it happen or known anyone who claimed they could do it. I think mostly what we're trying to present here at Sanctuary is a personal path of Jedi ideals - a super buffet if you will of philosophy. For some people martial arts are a big part of their path and their Jedi way, for others healing and meditation. It depends. :-)

ok i agree with it all and am familiar with the most part... but i had a question about the jedi code....

Why do we not display the chaos tenet...

"There is no chaos, there is Harmony"

or have i picked that up from somewhere completely different?

Doesnt matter I guess but I just always liked that one... helps me keep my cool

*edit*
